City mayor denies yarn that he's in US
for medic treatment

Tagbilaran City Mayor Dan Lim will be reporting back to work tomorrow.

A source close to the mayor confirmed the information to the Post but declined to be named saying he was not authorized to speak on the matter.

"He has decided to abort his leave because of the unfounded reports that has caused demoralization among barangay officials," the same source revealed.

Lim reportedly was very upset at reports that he left for the United States for treatment.

Guv off to SoKor, Russia w/ GMA

GOV. Erico Aumentado flew to South Korea yesterday as part of President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo's party that will also visit Lithuania, Moscow and St. Petersburg where she is invited to speak before economic forums.

The South Korean leg of the trip until June 2 includes bilateral talks with South Korean President Lee Myung Bak where Aumentado had requested the President to include in her talking points the funding by Korea's Economic Development Cooperation Fund (EDCF) the P1.4-billion Bohol Circumferential Road Improvement Project Phase 3 (BCRIP 3) and the P800-million Improvement of Malinao Dam in Pilar town. Pag-Ibig conducts info drive in Jagna

There is something disturbing about the lack of outrage on the spate of hold-ups and robberies in the province.

It has become regular fare for news writers to the point that editors now routinely ask for such stories before finalizing the lay-out. It is as though hold-ups in Bohol have become

part of life and there is little that we can do about it.
