SK 'firsts' witnessed in
San Miguel, Sagbayan

The Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) municipal federations in San Miguel and Sagbayan, both Second District towns, respectively held unprecedented leadership and sports events to end another year of youth dynamism.

The San Miguel youths assembled for their 1st SK Municipal Congress while their Sagbayan counterparts actively involved themselves in their 1st SK Football Festival.

Both SK town federations cited Bohol Congressman Edgar Chatto for his support to their activities that also caused their Christmas an apt season for a more solid oneness.

Present Boholano youths are lucky to have an equal champion of their sector right in their fold who is no less than SK National President Jane Censoria Cajes, at the same time a commissioner of the National Youth Commission (NYC).

   

In his speech to the San Miguel SK led by its president, Pablo Frances Boncales, Chatto motivated the budding citizens to hone and make full use of their potentials because they are a future in the making.

Earlier, the young people in Bilar, a Third District municipality, gave Chatto the honor to speak in their 1st Bilar Youth Summit. The lawmaker spoke in a similar event in hometown Balilihan.

The assembly of San Miguel youth leaders were inspired also by the presence of their town officials led by Mayor Caludio Bonior, the vice mayor, and heads of government agencies.

In Sagbayan, Chatto underscored how sports could shape up the youths into men of discipline, endurance and purpose, which are qualities of a strong people.

Chatto was earlier thanked for supporting the Inter-District Sportsfest in Ubay and Inter-Barangay Basketball Tournament in Duero.

The leading 2010 Bohol gubernatorial contender, Chatto has charmed the people in his provincewide sorties meeting and interacting with various sectors, including the youth, who regard him both as "a model leader and a Boholano of great use today, greater use tomorrow." (Ven rebo Arigo)
